Andrés Ginestet developed different designs for power plants in order to gracefully integrate these industrial buildings into their environment so that they would be easily accepted.
The outlines show six different kinds of strategies to integrate buildings into the landscape:

• "uniformed surfaces"
• "decorated surfaces"
• "volume deformation"
• "combination of volume deformation and architecture design" like the example : "Art Nouveau modulation of volumes"
• "architectural and object design", like the examples "stones and pebbles", "Ulm" and "Lübeck"

The last two examples show a good adaptation to a specific situation. The naval architecture at the design "Lübeck" would fit either: the city and the cliffs on the coast line. Its typically Ginestet design is conceived as a balance between curved and straight lines, full of dynamism as well as firmly built on the ground by columns representing tight ropes. The design "Ulm" represents the city skyline dominated by its famous cathedral. The big round windows open the building towards the street allowing citizens to see the interior workings of the power plant.
